Study room at ITA

(This webpage has not been kept up to date. There is currently no room for other students than the master students at ITA. For questions regarding the study hall, ask the AFU board or the current study hall manager.)

Students at the Institute of Theoretical Astrophysics (ITA) have access to a study room (known as Stjernekjeller'n) in the basement of the institute, where we have work stations and a kitchen. The study room is primarily for students at the institute (master and bachelor), but all students enrolled in astronomi courses (ex. AST3220) can apply.

AFU go through the applications at the beginning of each semester. Those on master/graduate level gets a seat for two years, and have to reapply after these two years. Bachelor students have to reapply each semester. The application form must be delivered in the mailbox for AFU, or delivered directly to a member of AFU by the deadline. Assignment of seats will be ready a few days after the deadline. If you have any questions, please contact AFU.

Rules (currently only in Norwegian) for the assignment of study room seats can be downloaded here.

For those using our study room, this is a set of guidelines for using the facilities, ensuring maximal enjoyment for everyone.
