Norwegian Research Schools: Nature Masterclass

DEEP offers together with several Norwegian national research schools a high-level writing course: Nature Masterclass. 

This writing course aimed at senior PhD students and postdocs who are working on high-impact data for top-tier journals. The workshop is taught by editors from selected relevant journals from the Nature Publishing Group, and aims to provide coaching and contact between the authors and the editors to facilitate tailoring results and pitch to the target audience.

When: 6 - 7 September 2018

Where: Isegran Fort, Fredrikstad

Course content:

Through talks, seminars, practical exercises and workshops, the course will cover the following topics: What makes a Nature paper? ; You’re the Editor – Making a Decision; Selecting a Journal; Figure Presentation; Brevity, Titles and Abstracts; From Introduction to Conclusion; Submitting your Paper; The Editorial Process; Mechanisms of Peer Review; You’re the Editor - Choosing Referees; Journal Decisions; Referee Reports; Measuring Impact.
