Academic interests

I am a new PhD student at CEES started the mid of October 2015. My PhD research, under the supervision of Nils Chr. Stenseth and Leif Chr. Stige, will focus on the bottom-up effects of phytoplankton in marine food webs. I will analyse the data from the Barents Sea and adjacent areas to understand how climate factors influence the dynamics of phytoplankton, and how climate effects on phytoplankton influence the productivity of higher trophic levels (from zooplankton to fish). The work will rely on statistical analysis of data from remote sensing, hydrodynamic models and scientific surveys.
