Academic interests

In June 2016 I completed my master thesis in molecular biology under the supervision of Lex Nederbragt, Kjetill Jakobsen and Ole K. Tørresen. I developed a computational pipeline for large-scale genomic analyses of transposable elements and charted the transposable element compositions in a variety of fish genomes. I am happy to continue at CEES and started as a Ph.D. candidate on a new project in August 2016 under the supervision of Kjetill Jakobsen. During the project I will investigate the evolutionary and functional importance of simple repeats in the genomes of plants and fish.
