Academic Interests

I have been trained as an environmental modeller, and have conducted modelling of acidification and eutrophication impacts on forest soils and freshwater systems in Canada, USA, and here in Norway. I am very pleased with my researcher position at CEES starting on 1 October 2013, which allows me to contribute to a new RCN-funded project on climate change impacts on boreal lake ecosystems. I am most proficient in dynamic system models that are based on physical principles. In addition to assessment of status of natural environments by using environmental models, I am interested in quantification and evaluation of modelling uncertainties though probabilistic methods.
