Associate professor or professor in Biostatistics

The Faculty of Chemistry, Biotechnology and Food Science (KBM) at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU, https://www.nmbu.no/en) employs a staff of about 160 people. The research topics include bioinformatics, biostatistics, food science, biochemistry, biotechnology, and microbiology. The Biostatistics group at KBM has one or two vacant positions. The aim is to fill at least one of these positions with an associate professor in an early phase of her/his career. We are looking for candidates that can continue, strengthen and possibly also widen the activities in research and teaching consistent with the profile of the Biostatistics group (https://www.nmbu.no/fakultet/kbm/forskning/forskningsgrupper/biostatistics).
The Biostatistics group is responsible for teaching statistics and bioinformatics at NMBU, as well as supervising master and PhD candidates. Currently there are five permanent positions (two professors and three associate professors) in the group. The group publishes research in bioinformatics and applied statistics with focus on biological applications. In connection with research, software is also developed, typically using R.
