Space Dinner in Oslo

We take part in the Space Dinner in Oslo. The theme of this year conference is "Small satellites - new trend on the commercial space market".

This year the Space Dinner was held in Oslo, 3. February 2015 and is combined with several presentations, talks, and discussions. It is the yearly event that provides a forum for the space related industry, research, users and policy makers. This close contact between the university and industry sector is essential in carrying out large space related projects.

Space Dinner is organized every year by NIFRO - The Norwegian Forum for Space Industry. During this occasion the NIFRO prize for the best master thesis related to the space industry is awarded. This year the award went to Espen S. Helgeby for this thesis on the active control of the CubeSTAR satellite platform potential with the miniaturized electron-gun. Congratulations! Espen continues to work within 4DSpace Strategic Research Initiative project as the Head Engineer with Plasma and Space Science Section.

We remind that last year the award also went to the University of Oslo: David M. Bang received the NIFRO award for his thesis related to sensors on the CubeSTAR satellite. David still continues to be involved in the 4DSpace Strategic Research Initiative as an engineer at the Electronics Lab, University of Oslo.
