Faglige interesser

Min hovedinteresse er topologiske faser i faststoffsystemer, og mer spesielt topologiske superledere. Man forventer at disse systemene kan kan gi opphav til eksitasjoner eller "partikler" som skiller seg fra vanlige fermioner og bosoner. Disse såkalte anyonene kan kanskje brukes til å relisere en kvantedatamskin.

Tidligere har jeg også jobbet med kvantefenomener i lave dimensjoner, og da med fokus på Luttinger væsker i en dimensjon. En Luttinger væske,  som kan opptre på kanten av et kvante-Hall-system, kan gi opphav til eksitasjoner med ladninger som er en brøkdel av elementærladningen.
