Participants at UiO

Prof. Bernd Etzelmüller (project and module 3 leader) has studied glacial and periglacial geomorphology and its integration into GIS in field sites in southern Norway, Svalbard, Iceland and Mongolia.

Prof. Ole Humlum (Module 1 leader) has studied the climatic control on glacial and periglacial processes in Norway, Svalbard, Greenland, Iceland, Faroe Islands, Scotland, Sweden, Denmark and Antarctica.

Dr. Thomas Vikhamar Schuler (Module 2 leader) is glaciologist trained at ETH, Switzerland, assoc. professor at UiO, working with thermal and hydrological processes on glaciers in Norway and Svalbard.

Dr. Herman Farbrot (project PostDoc) has studied mountain permafrost in northern Norway and Iceland, and worked lately at the Norwegian Meteorological Institute in Oslo, Norway.

Tobias Hipp (project PhD student) has a master degree from the University of Munich, Germany, in Physical Geography. He has worked with the SLN in Davos, Switzerland, in modeling the active layer in mountains.

Karianne Staalesen Lilleøren (Department PhD student) has a master degree from the University of Oslo in Geosciences, and has worked with topographic and meteorological conditions of small glaciers in southern Norway.
