Jern will be taken down on wednesday 4/4 08:00. It might not be up until 12:00. Several disks[1] will be unavailable in this period as we port them to a new disk server.
We are struggling with stability for our servers and hope this move will help. Please get in touch if the timing is terrible for you.

This B19 IT office is unstaffed 12.-14. march. Please contact us through e-mail (drift at geo dot uio dot no). If physical assistance is needed our IT office at Metos will be staffed part of the time, the USIT central IT helpdesk houston at usit dot uio dot no (228 40004) is staffed 8-20 these days.
Because of an important firmware update Jern will be rebooted monday 13/02 at 11.30. It should be up well before 12. Some disks will be unavailable during this time, and all programs running on Jern will be aborted.
We are having problems with terra and jern at the moment. We are working on a solution
The computer lab "Termstua 2etg" (room 209, B19) will be reinstalled Tuesday, January 10, 2012. It will be closed for all users all day Tuesday and Wednesday. Please use the ZEB-building computer lab, or the computer lab in room 007 "Visjonariet".
Ice reboot Thursday 5/1 1300 due to security problem. Should be up at 1315.
