"Grand Challenges" project awarded 1.5 million NOK from Olav Thon Foundation

The Olav Thon Foundation has awared 1.5 Million NOK over 3 years for "Grand Challenges", an interdisciplinary project engaging students in active research.

The Grand Challenges project at the University of Oslo will be lead by Professor Anders Malthe-Sørenssen (Dept of Physics), Associate Professor Marianne Fyhn (Dept of Biosciences) and Professor Bjørn Jamtveit (Dept of Geosciences).

The aim of this ambitious project is to energize students earlier in their studies and connect them to research projects that are at the frontiers of international research.
