Presence and Respiration Sensors

Ultra Wide Band (UWB) radar sensors on robot can monitor heart rate and respiration of elderly people. if non-intrusive in-home continuous monitoring of breathing and heartbeats existed, it would enable healthcare professionals to study how these signals correlate with our stress level and evolve with time and age, which could have a major impact on our healthcare system. Unfortunately, typical technologies for tracking vital signals   require body contact, and most of them are intrusive. Specifically, today’s breath monitoring sensors are inconvenient: they require the person to attach a nasal probe, wear a chest band, or lie on a special mattress. Thus, UWB radar sensors can be adopted on robot and analyzed in this regard.
