Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 is the latest version of Linux offered at the department. The Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) base is fully supported by UiO and it provides UiO and the department of mathematics a unified platform between computing nodes, servers, and desktop clients.

The Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) base is the only Linux platform supported by UiO and it provides UiO and the department of mathematics a unified platform between computing nodes, the Abel Cluster, servers, and desktop clients.

The Department of Mathematics have a number of rooms with audio-visual (AV) equipment. These come in three flavours: Seminar rooms, meeting rooms with video conferencing support, and end-of-hall spaces.

After the transition to IP telephony we have had a few situations where the machines behind the phones have been slow. Often the problem is the phone itself and resetting the phone usually helps.
