Video conferencing

Using the machine

The keyboard, mouse, and trackpad for the computer are all wireless and are charged via the white “lightning” that rest on top of the machine. Charge as needed, but the units have power for a few weeks of normal use between charing, so feel free to use the equipment wirelessly.

The machine in the room is set up without normal user accounts. To log in to the machine, use the guest account. It will not prompt for a password. Please note that when you log out the account will be completely reset. If you wish to access your personal files while using the computer, it is recommended to use a memory stick for the contents in question.

The memory stick can be connected to the USB ports on the left side of the monitor.

Using Skype

When starting Skype, you will be asked for your username and password. These will be removed when logging out, so please enter them as requested. Skype will start a welcome slideshow that you can close by clicking the close button on the top left. Once Skype has started, the camera, speakers (in the computer), and microphone (in the camera) is set up automatically. 

Using Apple FaceTime

As you start FaceTime it will ask for your iCloud username and password. Again, this will not be stored. Enter the information and call as usual.
