M.Sc. Temesgen Debelo Desissa vil forsvare sin avhandling for graden PhD:
"Stability and properties of materials and interfaces for oxide thermoelectrics"
Tenured associate professor Richard Dawid is visiting the Science Studies Colloquium Series. Dawid is professor of philosophy of science at Stockholm University. He holds a PhD in theoretical physics from the University of Vienna. After some years as a phyisicist at the TU Munich and the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory, he switched to philosophy in 2000. He worked as a philosopher of science at the University of Vienna and the MCMP Munich before coming to Stockholm in 2016.

FIGI-prosjektet er et samarbeid mellom Institutt for Informatikk (UiO) og Helse Sør-Øst. Det har utforsket samspillet mellom tungvekts- og lettvekts-IT, fra et praktisk og teoretisk perspektiv. Det mest vellykkede eksempelet er Sykehuset på Kalnes i Østfold, som nylig er klassifisert på nivå 6 i HIMMS.

His research is focused around philosophy of biology, evolutionary theory, epistemology and philosophy of science.He is a winner of Lakatos Award for his book Evolution and the Levels of Selection.
