Double winner of Innovation Camp
The same group won both the jury's prize and the audience' prize with their plan to make NSB Comfort a more popular and profitable.
Oliver Yarleque Escalante (UiO), Ida Martine Worum (UMB), Hellen Caspers (UiO) and Hilde Ringdal (UMB) were the winning team on Innovation Camp.
Students from Norwegian University of Life Sciences (UMB), BI Norwegian Business School (BI), and Centre for entrepreneurship at University of Oslo (UiO) met in October to participate in Innovation Camp 2011.
Ellen Sethov from Young Entrepreneurship first involved the students in group activities in creativity to warm them up and kick-start their cooperation. Then Espen Kristiansen, Head of branding at the Norwegian Rail (NSB), presented this years challenge.
The task presented to the groups was to make a strategy to further develop the product NSB Comfort to improve both profit and customer satisfaction.
The jury consisted of Espen Kristiansen (NSB), Ingvill Moe Havaas Eriksen (NHO Reiseliv) and Elbjørg Gui Standal (BI). They were impressed with the suggestions the groups delivered the next day. They gave the winning group credit for making a customer driven, complex, yet feasable path to economic value. The presentation was said to be well written and delivered, and the audience clearly agreed with this, since the same group also won the audience prize.
