We are proud to feature a new paper "Vertical Coopetition and the Sales Growth of Young and Small Firms" by Christian Lechner, Birthe Soppe and Michael Dowling that was published in "Journal of Small Business Management".

In this paper, authors disentangle some of the benefits and threats related to vertical coopetition. Drawing on resource-based perspectives and resource dependence theory, they explore how specific aspects of vertical coopetition such as the size of the cooperating partner, mutual dependence, and overdependence can impact sales growth of young and small firms.

Birthe Soppe is an Associate Professor at the Center for Entrepreneurship. Her main research interest lies at the intersection of entrepreneurship, institutional theory, and the emergence of new markets.
