Centre for Materialsciences and Nanotechnology is participating in 2 out of 4 projects that were awarded funding from ENERGIX
The 9th of March the Research Council of Norway issued the last updated message about the awarded projects in the ENERGIX programme where SMN is participating in 2 out of 4 awarded projects in the category «New concepts – ground-breaking new ideas or methods in energy research».
The first project, where Truls Norby at SMN is coordinator, is «Novel concepts for cold activation of energy-intensive chemical processes».
The second project Terje Finstad from SMN is partner in a project coordinated by Patricia Almeida Carvalho at SINTEF Material physics. This project is called «New thermoelectric ANtimonides and Silicides With EntRopy stabilization».
The Norwegian Research Council writes the following in their press release:
The Large-Scale Programme for Energy Research (ENERGIX) has awarded funding to four project proposals submitted in response to the autumn 2017 call for «New concepts – ground-breaking new ideas or methods in energy research».
This was the programme’s fourth funding announcement for pioneering and creative research projects that have the potential to make a significant impact in the energy sphere or for energy research.
