Europe has experienced several dry and hot summers in the 21st century, and in 2018 northern Europe was hit by an extreme drought centered over Scandinavia. Unlike many other natural hazards, droughts may persist for long periods and this is particular true for groundwater droughts, which is the focus of this study.

In HyCAMP we address the impact of Short Lived Climate Forcers (SLCF) on cryospheric and hydrologic systems in the Himalayas, India, and Norway. The research is done in cooperation with The Department of Science and Technology, India.
