Åknes rockslide is located at Storfjorden, Western Norway. It comprises a volume of c. 54 million m3 of unstable rock, extending from sea level to 1000 m above sea level.

This large rockslide has the potential hazard of sudden collapse and subsequent generation of a tsunami which poses at risk the communities located along the fjord.
