Future satellite- and ground based telescope-missions will be
able to pin down the matter distribution in the universe to
unprecedented accuracy. In order to compare observations with
theoretical models we need detailed knowledge of the highly non-linear
regime of structure formation. One way to obtain this is by performing
high resolution N-body simulation. We will in this Friday seminar give a
very basic introduction to cosmological N-body simulations focusing on
the motivation for doing it, the methods used and some of the challenges
we face in the future.
