Academic interests

From 1st November 2016, I will be part of CEES as a postdoctoral fellow in the project “Productivity and Resilience Enhancement of Exploited Fish stocks: an experimental approach”. We will be studying how different size-selective fishing regimes affect the stability of exploited populations and their trophic cascades using experimental populations of medaka fish. During the first year I will be based at the Pierre et Marie Curie University in Paris. Once the experimental part of the project is over I will move to Oslo. The project is a collaboration between CEES (Vøllestad), NMBU and French researcher.

I am interested in the anthropogenic causes of contemporary evolution. I studied fisheries-induced evolution during my PhD and postdoctoral position at the University of Bergen developing selection lines in guppies. Former projects involved studying the effect of eutrophication and inbreeding due to habitat destruction on mating and parental care behaviour in the sand goby and the least killifish at Åbo Akademi and at the University of Helsinki, respectively.
