I joined the CEES as a postdoctoral fellow in January 2017 to work within the international project “Size-dependent anthropogenic perturbation - from genes to ecosystems and back”. My main objective is to assess how different size-selective fishing regimes influence the effects of exploited populations on ecosystem functioning using experimental populations of medaka (Oryzias latipes). I am also particularly interested in the potential eco-evolutionary feedback loops induced by size-dependent selection. The project is a collaboration between CEES (Asbjørn Vøllestad), NMBU (Finn-Arne Weltzien and Ian Mayer) and iEES (Eric Edeline) and the experimental part is based at the University of Paris VI.
I completed my PhD in ecology at the University of Toulouse (department “EDB - Evolution & Biological Diversity”) under the supervision of Julien Cucherousset and Antoine Lecerf (department “ECOLAB - Functional Ecology and Environment”). The purpose of my PhD was to integrate intraspecific phenotypic variability in the study of biological invasions to better assess the impacts of invasive populations on the functioning of aquatic ecosystems. I combined field surveys and experimental approaches to reach this goal and my researches focused on the trophic and morphological variability within two invasive species: pumpkinseed sunfish (Lepomis gibbosus) and red swamp crayfish (Procambarus clarkii) species.
