Academic interests

I am a postdoctoral research fellow at the CEES (ECOVAR, PI Y. Vindenes). In my project, I develop demographic models and perform comparative analyses using the demographic databases COMADRE and COMPADRE (animal and plant matrix databases) to investigate population responses to changing environmental variability.

Background

My research interests broadly focus on understanding variation in individual life histories and its consequences on population dynamics, in response to environmental variation.

I completed my phD at the CESCO, Muséum national d’Histoire Naturelle (France) and I subsequently joined the Department of Biology at the University of Turku (Finland) for a postdoctoral research fellowship. Both during my phD and postdoctoral projects, I investigated how environmental variation influences the demographic responses of populations by examining (i) the effect of resource availability and weather variations on the (co)variation of demographic rates in a population of Siberian chipmunks (phD) and (ii) the effect of interannual climate variability on population change across multiple taxa (based on long-term empirical data of annual abundance estimates; postdoc).
