CEES featured in theme section of Marine Ecology Progress Series

In the April issue of Marine Ecology Progress Series (MEPS), Joël Marcel Durant and Nils Chr. Stenseth are devoted an entire theme section on “Harvested fish stocks in a changing environment”.

The entire theme section is available at int-res.com (pdf).

The theme section comprises five papers with contributions from several CEES researchers. It explores the effect of fishing and climate on population structure across sub-Arctic ecosystems. The papers are a result of two international workshops hosted by CEES in November 2009 and March 2011, and provide substantial insights into how environmental variability and fisheries affect population dynamics of harvested marine fish stocks.

Marine Ecology Progress Series is a leading journal in its field. The theme sections are integrated multiauthored analyses and syntheses initiated and coordinated by acknowledged experts. They highlight cutting-edge research areas or problems. (Source: www.int-res.com/journals/meps/meps-home).
