Propose candidates for the Faculty Board

In the New Year there will be an election of one new member, representing the temporary academic staff, to the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences’ Faculty Board for 2018. Deadline to promote candidates is 15th of December 2017 at 12.00.

For temporary academic staff the election period is one year from 01/01/18 to 31/12/18. In addition to one representative, there will be elected two substitutes.  

Candidate proposals

Employees who hold the right to vote in the group can promote candidates. Eligible are employees in positions as PhD-candidate, post doc, professor II and in research- and teaching position with an end-date. The candidate must hold at least a half-time position (except prof. II) and have an employment period that covers the entire election period. 

Candidate proposals must be handed in to the secretary of the Election Committee, Mona Bratlie at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences,, by 15th of December  2017 at 12.00.

For each candidate, a description of background and motivation up to one A4 page must be included.

Representative for the Election Committee

The election committee also needs one PhD-candidate to make sure the election is executed properly. The period is usually for a year, but the election committee also wants PhD-candidates who can provide assitance for a longer time. Time schedule

  • Deadline to promote candidates: 15th of December 2017 at 12.00
  • The candidates are presented on the Faculty’s homepage and the electronic election opens: 8th of January 2018 at 12.00
  • Voting deadline: 24th of January 2018 at 12.00
  • Announcement of the election result: 24th of January 2018 at 14.00

Execution of the election

The election of the Faculty Board’s members will be executed electronically and as an election of preference.
