Guest lecture: "Application of causal inference approaches to define confounding and selection biases in medication safety in pregnancy studies"

Guest Lecture with Sonia Hernandez-Diaz from Harvard School of Public Health on the topic of "Application of causal inference approaches to define confounding and selection biases in medication safety in pregnancy studies"

Prof. Sonia Hernandez-Diaz's main area of research is drug safety evaluation from observational data, with a special emphasis on patterns of use and safety of drugs during pregnancy as well as the application of innovative methods and concepts to pharmacoepidemiology. This includes use of causal structural approaches to define confounding and selection biases that might facilitate the identification, communication, and resolution of common analytical problems.
