Ulrika Nörby will give a lecture on: Fetal effects of maternal drug treatment - risk assessment and communication

Ulrika Nörby is a pharmacist, responsible for the Swedish knowledge database “Drugs and Birth Defects”, available at www.janusinfo.se/fosterpaverkan. She recently defended her doctoral thesis that focused on how to assess fetal risks of maternal drug treatment during pregnancy and how to reach out with relevant information within this area. The research project was accomplished at Lund University and comprised register based and questionnaire studies. Ulrika has a long experience of drug information from different perspectives. She has worked as an information pharmacist at the National Corporation of Swedish Pharmacies, manager of medical information at several drug companies, medical editor/writer for the web site Janusinfo.se and the newsletter “Ögat på läkemedel” as well as a consultant for the Swedish Health Care Guide. Ulrika is employed at the Stockholm County Council, department of E-health and Strategic IT, that provides decision support systems and knowledge databases to facilitate rational drug treatment.
