Combatting waste of pharmaceuticals is a topic that interests many in increasingly ecology- and economy conscious societies. At the FIP congress in Buenos Aires in 2016, there was a program on that issue, under the leadership of Dr. Helga Garðarsdóttir, assistant professor of Drug Regulatory Sciences at Utrecht University in the Netherlands.

Dr. Garðarsdóttir will give a presentation and discuss with the audience the Dutch approach to combatting waste of pharmaceuticals, including her own research on the potential role of the pharmacist in reduction of waste.

The seminar is open to everyone interested in pharmacoeconomics and/or pharmaceuticals policy.
