Faglige interesser

Mikrobiell dynamikk og evolusjon. Vi studerer de sporedannende jordbakteriene i Bacillus cereus gruppen (som også inkluderer Bacillus anthracis og Bacillus thuringiensis) som et modellsystem for å få økt kunnskap om tilpasning og utvikling hos bakterier. Mer enn 80 stammer fra B. cereus gruppen er i dag sekvensert. Våre studier inkluderer analyse av "multidrug efflux" membran proteiner, som disse bakteriene har et stort antall av.
