This is the third in a series on the Andean Geotrail, following articles on the Torres del Paine and Southern Chile’s Ring of Fire. The Neuquén Basin is known for its richness in dinosaur fossils, exhibits exciting tectonic and volcanic features, and is the main hydrocarbon-producing province in South America.
