How to sculpt a safe environment for learning?
Short introduction: Do you feel that students sometimes lack engagement in class? Often, this lack of engagement is understood as low motivation, but what if it's the social dynamics in the room that cause the low engagement? How can you as the teacher take control and create a safe learning environment? This talk will give you some big thoughts to understand and some small tips to apply.
NB! The session is only possible to participate digitally via videolink
About the Hammer Talks
The Hammer Talks Sessions are organized weekly, Tuesdays at 13 o'clock. The target audience are the early career scientists (PhD, postdoc, researchers) of the G&G section at Dept of Geosciences, but anyone is welcome to join the events.
Hammer Talks Sessions are meant to provide an informal platform that facilitates cooperation among the researchers and a safe place to practice presentation skills, prepare for a conference, and much more.
