New webinar in hydrogeology in the GeoSource network

The webinar entitled 'Introduction to hydrogeology with case studies in Norway and Brazil' is planned be held in August/September this year. This webinar of one week duration is provided by the GeoSource research network. MSc students from the partner institutions UFPA, Brazil and Dept. of Geosciences, UiO may attend.

Webinar to be held in the GeoSource research network

The one week webinar entitled Introduction to hydrogeology with case studies in Norway and Brazil will be held in August/September 2021 at UFPA and UiO with the possibility to attend remotely (online).

  • Time: 26th August to 2nd September 2021
  • Length: 25 hours, six (6) days. Teached from 13:15 to 17:00 for UiO students, and from 08:15 to 12:00 for UFPA students

Target students are MSc students from UFPA (PPGG and/or PPGCA), Brazil and Master students from University of Oslo. Maximum number of students at the course are 16 (8 from UFPA and 8 from UiO).

By attending at least 80% of all sessions and presenting the practical assignment, students obtain a certificate of attendance.

About the GeoSource network project

The GeoSource project is a Norway-Brazil cooperation in higher education in Geosciences with a special focus on the links between extraction of geological resources, consumption patterns and sustainable development.

One of the activities is to provide courses for the project partners in GeoSource. In the Autumn of 2021 it will it be held this one week webinar with an introduction to hydrogeology with case studies Norway - Brazil. Previously other courses have been held.
