Direct statistical downscaling of global circulation model (GCM) outputs to streamflow
Regional climate impact assessments on streamflow generally apply the downscaled climate variables from the GCM outputs and hydrological models. However, both downscaling methods and hydrological models can bring errors and uncertainties to the streamflow projections.
This study aims to downscale the GCM outputs directly to streamflow in Nordic catchments. The results will be compared with streamflow projections from other methods, which use the bias corrected/downscaled climate data and regional hydrological models.
