Established in 2017 by the Research Council of Norway for a period of 10 years, the Hylleraas Centre for Quantum Molecular Sciences is a Norwegian Centre of Excellence shared equally between the University of Oslo and The Arctic University of Norway (UiT) with UiO as the project owner. Around 70 scientists work at the Hylleraas Centre. 

Overarching goal of the Hylleraas Centre

The Hylleraas Centre aims to understand, interpret, and predict new chemistry, physics, and biology through development and application of advanced computer simulations.
