Clare Andvik, formerly McEnally, has won the award for best master's thesis on the UN's sustainability goals. Clare has studied the relationship between diet and environmental toxins in killer whales.
Professor Nils Chr. Stenseth is the first Norwegian researcher to be honored with a prize from the International Ecology Institute (ECI) in Oldendorf in Germany.
Norway took its first bronze medal ever in the International Biological Olympiad in Hungary. Anna Braathen received a bronze medal and Heidi Berg received an honorable mention, merit. Norway has never had such a good team effort overall.
Åshild Maria Eftevåg is the new Head of Office at the Department of Biosciences. She started in the position September 5, and comes from the research center NORMENT, where she was administrative manager.
