Attending NBS2017 Winter Meeting
The whole ROX team attended the 53rd Norwegian Biochemical Society (NBS) Contact Meeting at Storefjell 19th-21st January. Ingvild, Marta and Hans-Petter gave each a talk and Marita presented a poster.
Ingvild gave a talk about "Activation of the Class Ib Ribonucleotide Reductase by a Flavodoxin Reductase in Bacillus cereus"
Hans-Petter gave a talk about teaching "A research-inspired biochemistry laboratory module – Combining, expression, purification, crystallisation, structure solving and characterisation of a flavdoxin-like protein."
Marta gave a talk about her work on "New iminodiacetate-thiosemicarbazone hybrids and their copper(II) complexes are potential mR2 RNR inhibitors with high antiproliferative activity"
Marita presented a poster "Structural and functional characterization of redox proteins in an enzyme activating network involving the thioredoxin reductase in Bacillus cereus"
From the Metalloprotein group Hedda and Inger presented each a poster about Ribonucleotide reductase class III and Nitric oxide synthase, respectively.
We also took a break from the conference to try out the nice skiing tracks at Storefjell:
