The Oslo NorMIC imaging node

The Oslo NorMIC imaging node is established at two locations:

  • Imaging platform IBV at “Centre for Immune Regulation (CIR)” at the The Department of Biosciences (IBV), Kristine Bonnevies Hus. Blindern, primarily focusing on service on live imaging of cells at a subcellular level, by confocal, TIRF or widefield microscopy. For questions, please contact Oddmund Bakke.
  • Centre for Cancer Biomedicine (CCB), This core facility at the Department of Biochemistry, the Norwegian Radium Hospital (DNR), is headed by Harald Stenmark,  focusing on confocal, superresolution and electron microscopy imaging, in particular immuno EM.

The Imaging Platform offers courses, expertise, use of TIRF and confocal instruments after booking/availability (new users will need to go through training/assessment routine) and access to superresolution immuno-EM techniques. Use of instruments will be charged.
