MSc Projects in Deep Learning in Cardiovascular Ultrasound with GE Healthcare

We have a number of interesting MSc projects to offer at GE Healthcare in the area of Deep Learning in Echocardiography, including applications for quantification, image acquisition, and multi-modal image fusion for echocardiography.

GE Healthcare

Want a taste of life in industry with one of the world leaders in medical imaging? Join us for a Masters project!

Echo examination
At GE Healthcare (Vingmed Ultrasound) we work on real clinical problems that can improve patient care.

GE Healthcare (Vingmed Ultrasound), a world leader in cardiovascular ultrasound, is based in Horten with dedicated offices just across the street in Forskningsparken.
You will be working on solving a clinically relevant problem, with regular follow up by a supervisor from industry. A variety of project types are available including, but not limited to, 2D/3D convolutional neural networks, recurrent neural networks, adversarial networks, reinforcement learning, and semi-supervised/unsupervised learning.

Blood flow imaging, 2D echo
We work on tools to improve imaging of blood flow through the heart.
3D echo
3D echocardiography enables detailed imaging of cardiac valves.

Profile
We look for students that:

  • like signal processing and programming
  • have a practical knowledge of Deep Learning methods
  • would like to face complex research problems

Students will be supervised in close collaboration with the DSB group.
