  • In today's world, the relationship between humans and nature is increasingly viewed as antagonistic, due to concerns about global warming, ocean acidification, biodiversity loss, etc. The future continuously appears as a dystopian horizon, where we have passed the point of no return. What is urgently needed are new ways of thinking that challenge the dystopian, whether through resilient design approaches or radically new visions of sustainable futures. The appeal of science fiction is that it enables speculation, imagination, and anticipation of possible futures, including future societies, future technologies, and future knowledge.

  • The project explores alternative visions of innovation, non-traditional visions of futures, and questions of environmental justice

  • It is also intended to contribute to UiO Norden: Circular Energy project within our group

  • Courses - obligatory IN5000, IN5010, and IN5591

  • Other courses can be chosen from our group (e.g., tangible interaction), but also from OSEH (Oslo School of Environmental Humanities) or TIK (Technology, Innovation and Culture).
