Industrial PhD - Energy storage systems

About the project

The generation of electricity is the biggest source of greenhouse gas emissions worldwide, so the successful transition to renewable electricity generation by utilising hybrid energy storage systems is perhaps the most important step to mitigate climate change in the coming years. 

The main objective of this project is to model the energy management of hybrid energy storage systems and verify the simulation results in a real pilot test platforms. Collaboration with national and international research institutes and industry will be an integral part of the project.
