Group for Soft Matter & Scattering Methods

Soft Matter constitutes materials and nanostructures composed of synthetic building blocks such as polymers, surfactants and colloids, as well as biological materials such as proteins, peptides and nucleic acids. The field is characterized by a wide range of interactions that give rise to an extremely broad range of complex nanostructures that vary from simple polymers and surfactant micelles to intricate protein and cell membrane structures.
