Academic interests
Most of my work is related to complex geometry. I'm interested in canonical metrics on complex manifolds and their relations to algebrogeometric stability and concepts in probability theory. Along another line, I'm also interested in canonical metrics on certain real (affine) manifolds related to the StromingerYauZaslov conjecture in mirror symmetry. The main tools I use in my research come from geometric analysis.
Background
I did my PhD at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden. My thesis advisors where Robert Berman and David Witt Nyström. I'm now a postdoc/visiting researcher at University of Oslo. From August 2019 2022 I will be at University of Maryland for a postdoctoral fellowship.

Other things

I gave a four part mini course for grad students and faculty at the University of Maryland. The topic was statistical mechanics and large deviation principles. (29 & 31 August, 5 & 7 September 2017)

I organized a special grad student/postdoc ice breaker session at the Maryland Analysis and Geometry Atelier in College Park, US (https://wwwmath.umd.edu/maga.html)

I was responsible for the grad student seminar at the math department at Chalmers (during spring 2015): http://www.math.chalmers.se/~hultgrej/PhDSeminarProgram.html

I got an award (Guldkärnan) for my teaching at the course in Linear Algebra and Numerical Analysis for Engineering Physics students during spring 2017 at Chalmers.

As a PhD student at Chalmers I gave three general orientation seminars about theta functions and toric geometry for other PhD students and faculty.

During autumn 2016 I volunteered as a teacher in Uganda.
