With a background in physics, my research interests shifted towards computational physics and numerical methods during an exchange study at the NTNU in Trondheim.
During my studies, I was interested in nonlinear optics and also in magnetic traps for ultracold quantum gases.
I am now happy to be a PhD student in the group of Kent-Andre Mardal in the Scientific Machine Learning (SciML) project which is in collaboration with Simula. In this project, we are interested in the theoretical aspects of combining machine learning with finite element methods but also in the applications of these methods to modelling and understanding of complex fluid transport processes in the human brain
