I finished my Masters at the University of Oslo in the spring of 2019 under the supervision of Professor Nadia Larsen. My thesis was within the field of operator algebras and it was titled "KMS-states on Nica-Toeplitz algebras". We studied criteria for the existence of KMS-states of C*-algebras arising from combinatorial groups.
For my PhD I will stay in the same section, however I will shift from purely theoretical research to working with theoretical problems within computational mathematics. I will work with my co-supervisor Anders C. Hansen on computational barriers of deep neural networks. More specifically we will study when there can exist algorithms that construct optimal neural networks in the theory of inverse problems.
