Section: 4 - Differential Equations and Computational Mathematics
In general my research interest is focused on partial differential equations and their numerical treatment. In specific my current interest lies in theoretical and numerical aspects of hyperbolic conservation laws. Therefore I joined the Section 4 - "Differential Equations and Computational Mathematics" here at the University of Oslo to gain a doctoral degree under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ulrik Skre Fjordholm and Prof. Dr. Nils Henrik Risebro.
Prior to my PhD Fellowship I took my bachelor's and master's degree both at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany. During my master studies I spent half a year in Switzerland, studying as a guest student at ETH Zurich. Afterwards I went back to Erlangen to write my thesis on "A hybridizable discontinuous Galerkin scheme with different orders of approximation spaces capable of dealing with jump conditions: analysis and implementation" under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Peter Knabner.
