Our research groups

Lingjærde group

  • Large-scale inference of parallel data sets, i.e.  'integrative genomics analysis'
  • Means to impose biologically reasonable (and justifiable) constraints on models in order to ensure uniqueness and stability of estimates

Paulsen group

The focus of the group is to understand how the three-dimensional (3D) organization of DNA inside the nucleus relates to critical functions in the eukaryotic cell, such as gene expression regulation and the cell cycle.

Rognes group

The group works on microbiome bioinformatics and develops sequence analysis tools.

Sandve group

The group is involved in several projects and collaborations within statistical genomics, comparative genomics, epigenetic epidemiology and immune receptor informatics
