WIMBY is striving to find the best compromises and tools to break down the barriers against the wind power deployment, and to contribute to the decarbonisation of the European Union. The project puts together a multidisciplinary team of 16 partners, including social and environmental science researchers, coordinated by VUB - Vrije Universiteit Brussels, with the University of Oslo being one of the 16 partners.
The team addresses every key aspect of sustainable and socially acceptable wind farm development.

Citizens will be involved from the early phases, and will be crucial to the decision-making process, thanks to a series of tools that will be developed to help them make informed decisions.
