Introduction:

Hi and welcome to my page! My name is Anastasios and I am a trained physicist and space systems engineer. I'm passionate about designing and operating space systems and I have previously worked on the design of 3 spacecraft and operated a constellation of 35 in space.

Research interests:

My main research interests lie in Space Systems Engineering and Computational Methods with applications in Space Systems Engineering and Astrodynamics. As part of my work at the Centre for Space Sensors and Systems (CENSSS), I am investigating how Model Based Systems Engineering and Digital Twins can be used throughout the lifetime of a space system to achieve faster and more reliable space system designs, while also enabling enhanced troubleshooting capabilities and minimizing downtime in orbit.

Previous experience:

  • Flight Dynamics Engineer for the Aleph constellation, Satellogic (2022-2024)
  • Technical Advisor for the PeakSat mission, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2023)
  • Lead Systems Engineer for the AcubeSAT mission, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2019-2022)
  • Mission Analyst/AOCS team leader for the AcubeSAT mission, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2018-2019)

Education:

  • MSc in Computational Physics, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2020-2022)
  • Degree in Physics, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2016-2020)
