Due to scientific and paternity leaves, this time I will be able to only supervise short master theses that will take place in Spring 2024. Here below two possible projects:
- FHTBoost based on a Gamma process. The goal of the project is to extend the boosting algorithm developed by De Bin and Stikbakke (2022) to Gamma processes.
- FHTBoost with different base-learners. The goal of the project is to explore the performance of the boosting algorithm developed by De Bin and Stikbakke (2022) when more flexible base learners, such as regression trees or splines, are used.
